Rolling Stone Photo shoot: Pictures + Behind the Scenes Video with Ian, Nina & Paul

Ian Somerhalder, Nina Dobrev and Paul Wesley will be featuring in Rolling Stone Magazine, out August 19th.

"The whole Twilight thing is about to be over," Ian Somerhalder says. "And teenage girls can't watch True Blood with their parents - that would just get weird. So we're getting ready to kick some major ass this season."

Based on the best-selling book series, THE VAMPIRE DIARIES is the story of two vampire brothers, obsessed with the same gorgeous girl, who are battling to control the fate of an entire town. In season one, Stefan and Damon Salvatore returned to their hometown of Mystic Falls, Virginia, for very different reasons. Stefan was determined to get to know Elena Gilbert, who bears a striking resemblance to Katherine Pierce, the beautiful but ruthless vampire the brothers knew and loved – in 1864. Damon, on the other hand, was intent on releasing Katherine from the tomb where he believed she was trapped by a witch’s spell all those years ago. In the explosive season finale, Elena’s uncle set a plan in motion that saw the return of the vengeful Katherine Pierce. In season two, Katherine’s appearance and her precise manipulation threw a wrench into the love triangle between Stefan, Elena and Damon, and the other residents of Mystic Falls were forced to choose sides as they fell victim to a new breed of danger. From MTV Hollywood Crush: "Ian: "We have 29 days [left in shooting]. I'm just curious as to what the hell is going to happen, I'm excited how we're gonna [end it]. Season one was such a great journey. It took us all for a ride. I'm excited to see what happens. I'm excited to see it because it's not as if you read a film and you've got the definite answer. I don't know anything, which is kind of like life."

Okay...Then we ventured to get Mr. Smolderhotter to weigh in on what he'd like to see happen if he were in charge of writing the rest of the season. "What I would like to see is, is I would like to see Damon kidnap Elena and then go to the Caribbean. Go to Paris first, then they go looking for her and then they disappear to the Caribbean for a season or something, while everyone frantically searches for them."
So, would things get sexy? "Why not?" Ian added."
